The worst timed Krissie Mix ever.

It is currently 12:05 AM on Friday, January 25.

That means that The Rock Boat is officially one week away.

Which makes releasing a Krissie Mix now all kinds of silly because the bulk of people that listen to my Mix are Rock Boat friends… and we’re all in full-on Rock Boat mania right now.

However, if I don’t push publish on this thing, it’s just not going to happen. And it should happen, because it’s one of my favorite Mixes I’ve done in awhile.

So, without further adieu, I give you Krissie’s 2018/2019 Winter Mix…the worst timed Krissie Mix ever in the history of Krissie Mixes.

If you like the liner notes, read ’em here.
If you’re an Apple Music person, you can listen here.

Bundle up against the cold, pop in your earbuds, and snuggle up with these songs. Happy listening.

Surprise!

Although all of the signs of fall are in the air, I REFUSE to let summer go without a fight. That’s why I’m thinking all the summer thoughts and putting out The 2018 Krissie Summer Mix Part II … because if I keep wearing flip flops and short sleeves, the warm weather and sunshine will stick around right?

So, anyway, here’s my little pre-Labor Day surprise. There’s so much great new music out right now. For my music friends, a lot of these will be familiar, but there might be a few new surprises.

  • Notes are here, if you’re into reading them (moved to Google Drive since so many folks had trouble with Dropbox last time).
  • If you’re an Apple Music person, you can listen here.

Enjoy the last fleeting days of summer, my loves. And as always, let me know your favorites!

Happy Summer!

Summer is FINALLY here…after a really long winter and a miserable spring, I’m more than ready for 90+ degree temps and 100% humidity. I really need to move to an island.

Although summer doesn’t officially start for a few weeks, I’ve been hard at work on the Summer Mix and it’s finally ready to share.

If you’re not into reading the liner notes (which you should be for this one, just saying), this Mix marks a bit of a milestone: 1,000 songs shared in Krissie Mixes. *insert confetti and noisemakers here*

While I’ve moved on from burning hundreds of CDs and keeping the post office in business with mailing them out, making the “Mix” is still my favorite thing to do. It’s always been my goal to help people find new music that speaks to them, so if you find something new that hits your ears just right, I’d love to hear about it.

Anyway…thanks for listening for all these years, you guys. You’re the best.

Happy summer!

The 2018 Spring Krissie Mix

Well, this one’s been a long time coming.

I’m only 8 days late getting this out the door for the season, which isn’t too bad. But you should know that I originally intended to put it out in January as a second Winter Mix. So, because that didn’t happen, the Spring Mix is a little longer than usual.

Enjoy the roller coaster ride this playlist will take you on. I recommend cocktails on a patio while listening. Happy Spring!

Get the liner notes here, if you’re into them.

The 2017 Fall Winter Mix

Oh, hey there, folks. Happy merry holidays, everyone!

It’s been a hot second since I put out a Mix. This one’s been brewing for almost half a year now, so I guess it’s about time to put it out into the world. So here it is, my Christmas/Hannukah/Whatever-holiday-you-celebrate gift to you, my 2017 Fall Winter Mix.

Yeah, I’ve been a slacker and this one is a combination of two seasons. Sorry about that. It’s always hard to hit publish when it’s been so long since I started, but I hope that you’ll find a new artist to love among these 30 songs, anyway.

If you’re into reading my rambles about why I love these tracks, you can download my liner notes here.

I do love to hear from you guys if you fall in love with a particular track, or if a song leads you to discover a new band. Plus, who doesn’t love getting messages from friends (or, as has happened before, total strangers who are now amongst my dearest friends … *ahem, Libby and Fred*)? Either way, you know what to do.
